Heidi Androl reflects on Strikeforce era in new podcast
UFC backstage interviewer Heidi Androl sat down to discuss her Strikeforce years on the latest episode of MMA Fighting's "Anything But Fighting" podcast.
Androl, who currently works cage-side for the UFC, spent time as a backstage reporter for Strikeforce before the promotion was absorbed by Zuffa in 2011. The conversation with host José Youngs aired Tuesday and covered her transition from the regional circuit to the sport's biggest stage.
From Strikeforce to UFC broadcasting
The broadcaster has also logged hours on the NHL Network as a host, giving her a range across combat sports and traditional athletics. Her Strikeforce tenure coincided with the promotion's peak years, when it featured fighters like Ronda Rousey, Daniel Cormier, and Nick Diaz before they moved to the UFC roster.
