Hearn Shoots Down White's Claims On Fury-Joshua Production
Eddie Hearn says Dana White will not produce the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight for television, and he has the paperwork to prove it.
The Matchroom promoter told MMA Mania that Saudi event organiser Sela confirmed in writing that the UFC and TKO will not handle production duties for the heavyweight clash. Instead, Whisper — the Saudi company that produced Fury's bout against Arslanbek Makhmudov — holds the contract to broadcast the fight on Netflix.
What Hearn's Contract Says About TKO Involvement
Hearn pointed to the original agreement between Joshua and Fury, which he says blocks TKO from serving as the main promoter or controlling the broadcast. White had publicly pushed for TKO to produce the event and floated Madison Square Garden as the venue. That vision collapsed when the fight was announced for Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
"Under our contract, he can't," Hearn said, per MMA Mania. "I don't really care, I won our battle. And the main battle was don't let this fight happen in America."
Hearn acknowledged he would consider discussing production changes if TKO approached him with a credible offer. For now, he said, the contractual terms stand and Whisper remains in place. White has yet to respond publicly to the Saudi company's confirmation.
The all-British heavyweight showdown is scheduled for later this year in Wales. No broadcast details beyond the Netflix platform have been announced.
