Has Brock Lesnar Retired?
Brock Lesnar has strongly hinted at his retirement following WrestleMania 42, where he came out second best against Oba Femi.
Femi secured a chokeslam on Lesnar followed by his powerbomb move. As the victor departed the stage, Lesnar remained alone in the ring. He removed his fight boots and MMA gloves and put them on the canvas, suggesting he was retiring.
Paul Heyman, who has stood by Lesnar’s side for the vast majority of his career, entered the ring for a heartfelt embrace. As Heyman hoisted Lesnar’s hand up, the stadium chanted “Thank You, Brock.” Lesnar was visibly emotional as he walked up the ramp for what is expected to be the final time as an active roster member.
The Future
Having conquered the worlds of collegiate wrestling, the UFC, and WWE, he retires as an 8-time WWE Champion and 3-time Universal Champion. While he has stepped away before, the deliberate act of leaving his gear in the ring—a tradition he notably did not do during previous hiatuses—suggests that this time, “The Beast” is heading home to his farm for good.
| Achievement | Total / Detail |
| WWE Championship | 8 Times |
| Universal Championship | 3 Times |
| Royal Rumble Wins | 2 (2003, 2022) |
| UFC Status | Former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion |
| King of the Ring | 2002 Winner |
Despite this being the case, Heyman still hoped for Lesnar to continue.
“What’s my vision? Another 15 years of dominance by Brock Lesnar. Why are you pushing this whole retirement? You actually read what is posted online and take it seriously. This is part of the great political divide in this country, isn’t it, that people actually take seriously irrelevant opinions. There’s only one relevant opinion, and it’s mine. And mine is that Brock Lesnar dominates the next 15 years,” Heyman said
