Lundy Signs With BKB After Crawford Title Shot

Hank Lundy will make his bare-knuckle debut Nov. 20 when BKB holds its first Delaware event at the Rollins Center at Bally's Dover Casino Resort.

The Philadelphia fighter, who compiled a 32-14-1 record over nearly two decades as a professional boxer, challenged Terence Crawford for the WBO lightweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super lightweight championship in 2016 and held several regional titles including the WBO NABO and NABF lightweight straps. Lundy signed with BKB in July, per a Monday press release, though his opponent for the Delaware card remains unannounced.

What BKB CEO Said About Lundy Debut

David Tetreault, CEO of BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing, said the promotion knew Lundy's approach would translate to the bare-knuckle format. "His style and mentality were made for BKB, and now we finally get to see him inside the Trigon," Tetreault said in the release. "He's been in there with some of the best fighters in the world."

Lundy, whose 14 knockouts as a boxer came across lightweight and super lightweight divisions where he also held WBC Silver titles, told the promotion he is looking for new tests. "I've fought all over the world and against some of the best in boxing, but I'm always looking for the next challenge," he said.

The Nov. 20 card marks BKB's first show in Delaware and comes as bare-knuckle promotions continue adding experienced boxers to their rosters.
