Denis Goltsov has his next assignment lined up following a quick finish in Charlotte earlier this summer.
The 2024 PFL heavyweight tournament champion will face Maxwell Djantou Nana on Oct. 16 at PFL Chicago, promotion officials confirmed to Sherdog on Wednesday. The matchup pairs two ranked heavyweights with Goltsov coming off a 52-second stoppage of Hasan Mezhiev at PFL Charlotte in his first outing of 2026.

Djantou Nana Brings Three-Fight Streak Into Chicago
That victory snapped a skid for the Russian, who had dropped a decision to Corey Anderson in July 2025 after winning four straight. The run included his tournament championship the year prior.
Djantou Nana arrives on a three-fight winning streak after losing to Justin Clarke in the 2025 PFL Africa championship. The Cameroonian heavyweight has gone 4-1 since joining the promotion and picked up a win under the One Championship banner before that. He most recently stopped Eduardo Neves in the third round earlier this month after beating Karl Williams on the cards.

The Oct. 16 card marks the promotion's second Chicago event of 2026 and will be headlined by an undisputed women's flyweight title rematch between Liz Carmouche and Jena Bishop. Carmouche beat Bishop in the 2025 tournament final.
