Gaethje Urges Republican Support At GOP Midterm Convention

Justin Gaethje appeared at the Republican Party's midterm convention in Dallas this week, encouraging voters to back GOP candidates and President Trump ahead of the November 3 elections.

"If we are not just as passionate about voting and winning in these midterms as we were in the last presidential election, then we risk getting knocked out and losing all the momentum we have been fighting for," Gaethje

Gaethje said he supports conservative government and believes Trump wants "the best for every American," calling for Republican wins in Congress to help push the president's agenda forward.

The appearance comes three months after Gaethje won the undisputed lightweight title with a stoppage of Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250 on the White House lawn, a fight Trump attended in person.

Gaethje isn't expected to defend the title until 2027 while recovering from a hand injury, with his team indicating he wants a marquee opponent for his return — a Topuria rematch or a potential Conor McGregor fight have both been floated.
