Fury-Joshua must happen in UK, Hearn says per ESPN
Promoter Eddie Hearn says Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua must fight in the United Kingdom, per ESPN.
Hearn told the outlet that the location clause was locked into the deal signed three months ago and cannot be changed. The British heavyweight clash has been in the works since both fighters lost their world titles earlier this year.
UK venue locked into heavyweight contract
According to ESPN's report, the terms agreed in the original contract specify a UK venue for the bout. Hearn's comments come as speculation mounts about potential Saudi interest in hosting the all-British showdown.
Both Fury and Joshua remain the biggest draws in British boxing despite recent setbacks. Fury lost his WBC title to Oleksandr Usyk in their December rematch, while Joshua dropped his IBF belt to Daniel Dubois last September.
No date or specific venue has been announced for the fight.
