Floyd Schofield Sr says Albert Bell robbed against Mason

Floyd Schofield Sr posted to social media following Abdullah Mason's weekend title defense, saying Albert Bell deserved credit for a performance that should have earned him the belt.

Schofield Sr, who trains his son Floyd 'Kid Austin' Schofield, said the judging favored Mason despite Bell controlling the action. "We know they robbed you," he wrote, per Bad Left Hook. "No matter how much they was bullcrapping on the scorecards, no matter how rigged boxing is, you deserve your kudos because you performed good."

The veteran trainer acknowledged Bell entered the fight at a disadvantage, noting the challenger had been inactive for nearly a year and carried only nine career knockouts. "The fact that you turned around and won that title — because you was winning that," Schofield Sr said. He closed the post by warning fans against comparing Mason to his own fighter. "For those comparing Abdullah to Kid, ya'll better stop playing with us."

Kid Austin has not fought since stopping Tevin Farmer inside one round a year ago. His return date remains unannounced.
