Fans React To Ryan Garcia's Hand Speed – ‘0 Fundamentals'
Fans have reacted to the latest clip of Ryan Garcia showing off his hand speed in the aftermath of his hand surgery.
Garcia is looking to bounce back from his last performance, where he suffered a shock defeat to Rolando Romero. Romero dropped Ryan with a counter left hook as he was hesitant to throw for the remainder of the fight. Garcia later revealed that he did not train properly for the fight, whilst also undergoing hand surgery, raising suggestions that this was the reason for his lacklustre performance.
However, there were also other pressing questions that needed to be answered. Garcia arrived into the fight after having served a year ban for failing VADA tests in the aftermath of his Devin Haney fight. Garcia tested positive for Ostarine, as he saw his majority decision win get turned into a no-contest.
That initial victory was the biggest of Garcia’s career, as he dropped Haney three times to propel his career to new heights. However, Garcia now faces questions over whether the presence of PEDs in his system was the reason for his impressive performance against Haney. The first thing that Garcia will have to rectify is the Romero loss.
Garcia’s Issue
Reports indicate that talks are taking place for that fight as a rematch could take place by the end of the year. Garcia has always shown talent, but there are questions over whether he has the boxing IQ that is needed to compete at the highest level. Garcia thrives on two primary weapons, one being his left hook and the other his hand speed.
However, his defensive lapses in concentration have seen him get dropped several times, namely in the fights against Gervonta Davis, Luke Campbell and Rolando Romero. However, Garcia still appears to be in good spirits as he showed off his trademark speed. The following clip shows him hitting the heavy bag with his lightning hands, something which he will have to utilise against Romero, who is a power puncher.
