Fans Predict Diego Lopes Vs. Jean Silva – ‘He Has This Meanness'

Diego Lopes and Jean Silva face off at Noche UFC event in a featherweight clash, as fans gave their verdict.

Lopes secured five straight victories to secure himself a title shot against Alexander Volkanovski for the vacant featherweight title. However, he was unable to come through with a win, as he suffered a unanimous decision loss at UFC 314. Lopes, though, has good memories of UFC Noche, having beaten Brian Ortega in last year’s card at The Sphere during UFC 306. Silva has posted five wins in a row, with two victories this year. Impressive performances against Melsik Baghdasarayan and Bryce Mitchell have made him one of the rising stars of the division. However, this is by far his biggest test.

Pre-Fight

"I’m going to pressure him until he’s broken and then will finish him — knockout or submission. Maybe I knock him down and then finish him. This is my prediction … I’m different from his other opponents. I’m not scared. I think the difference is this: People are so scared to face Jean because of the power in his hands but I’m not scared. I’ve proved myself against the best guys in the world," Lopes said

"When I walk into a fight and the fight starts, I’m not looking to knock him out fast or to go to a quick submission. I’m enjoying, I’m living in the moment. I’m right there enjoying the moment. The problem is this: when I walk into a fight and I’m happy, the fight will not last long," Silva stated
