Erin Blanchfield withdraws from UFC 330 with injury

Erin Blanchfield has withdrawn from UFC 330 with an injury.

The flyweight contender was scheduled to face Jasmine Jasudavicius on Aug. 15 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, but pulled out this week, MMA Junkie's Nolan King reported. The UFC is eyeing a rescheduled date for the bout at a Fight Night card on Oct. 17 in Edmonton, Alberta, per the report.

First pullout of Blanchfield's UFC career

The withdrawal is the first time Blanchfield has been forced out of a fight during her UFC run. She enters on a two-fight winning streak after back-to-back wins over Rose Namajunas and Tracy Cortez. Jasudavicius, meanwhile, beat Karine Silva by unanimous decision in April and was looking to extend her momentum against a top-ranked opponent.

If the bout lands in Edmonton as planned, Jasudavicius will have home-crowd support when the two finally meet. The UFC 330 card in Philadelphia is headlined by Islam Makhachev defending the welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry, with Mackenzie Dern challenging Gillian Robertson for the women's strawweight strap in the co-main event.
