Davis Reacts To Lomachenko’s Comeback
Boxing News Staff
Boxing Editorial Team ·
Gervonta Davis has responded to Vasiliy Lomachenko’s comeback, after Lomachenko walked away from fight talks with him in June 2024.
He first said he would take a break until 2025, then announced full retirement. At the time, Davis beat Frank Martin to retain his WBA lightweight title, and Lomachenko had just beaten George Kambosos Jr. for the vacant IBF belt.
Lomachenko attended Foster vs. Navarrete and said he didn’t feel comfortable at 135. Davis said: “I respect it, wish him well.”
