Dana White promises bigger UFC White House ratings reveal
Dana White says the real ratings story from UFC Freedom 250 at the White House has yet to be told.
The June 14 event averaged 7 million U.S. viewers on Paramount+, with 17 million tuning in for at least some portion of the broadcast, per MMA Mania. White said global viewership data will be released next week and expects those figures to dwarf the domestic numbers already announced.
White calls White House event 'the biggest thing' UFC has done
"A third of [Paramount+] subscribers tuned in," White said. "It was huge, and the global number's massive. So, that's gonna come out next week. That's the biggest thing that we've ever done and, obviously, the biggest thing ever for the sport."
The preliminary U.S. figures represented a strong showing for Paramount+, which has 79 million subscribers worldwide. White acknowledged he cannot share certain metrics because both UFC parent company Endeavor and Paramount are publicly traded, meaning data releases could affect stock prices.
"There's so much stuff we get, I'm telling you, just watch what happens," he said. "You guys know how much I love to win and gloat, and I can't do that anymore. There's so much s--t I would love to drop on you right now, but you'll see it playing out over the next year, earnings calls and all that s--t."
White had predicted the event would draw Super Bowl-level viewership ahead of the card, which featured Alex Pereira versus Ciryl Gane and Justin Gaethje versus Ilia Topuria. The global viewership update is expected sometime in the coming week.
