Dana White Says UFC Heavyweight Division Will "Keep Rolling" Without Aspinall

Dana White says the UFC heavyweight division won't wait around for Tom Aspinall, who remains sidelined more than a year after suffering multiple eye injuries against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321.

Aspinall's UFC 321 title fight ended in a no contest after accidental eye pokes from Gane, and he's since undergone multiple surgeries with no clear timetable for a return. Gane has since claimed the interim heavyweight title, stopping Alex Pereira at UFC Freedom 250 in June.

Tension between Aspinall and White has lingered since the injury, and Aspinall recently added Matchroom's Eddie Hearn — a longtime White rival — to his management team. White hasn't said whether Gane will defend the interim title again or wait for Aspinall's return, leaving the heavyweight picture in flux following Jon Jones' 2025 retirement and a lack of continuity atop the division since.
