Dana White Confirms Involvement In Las Vegas NBA Bid

Dana White confirmed Tuesday that he is still part of an ownership group pursuing a Las Vegas NBA expansion franchise.
The UFC president was asked at the Dana White's Contender Series post-fight press conference whether he remains involved in the effort to bring professional basketball to Nevada's gambling capital. According to Sherdog, White responded with a one-word answer: "Yes."

Three Finalists Competing For $13 Billion Franchise
ESPN reported earlier this month that the NBA is reviewing final bids for a potential Las Vegas expansion team. The proposals reportedly value the franchise and accompanying arena between $12 billion and $13 billion. The three remaining groups are led by Nancy Walton Laurie and Bill Laurie, Steve Apostolopoulos and Marc Lasry, and Bill Foley and Jerry Colangelo.
White first acknowledged his involvement in the expansion talks earlier this year. He is a longtime Boston Celtics fan and close friend of head coach Joe Mazzulla.

The NBA has not announced a timeline for awarding the franchise.
