Dana White On Promoting Jake Paul

Dana White has no plans to bring Jake Paul into Zuffa Boxing.

The UFC president told the Plan Bri Uncut podcast that promoting the YouTube star falls outside his core business, despite acknowledging a market exists for Paul's brand of spectacle. White said he focuses on matching the best fighters in the world rather than pursuing celebrity matchups, per BJPenn.com.

White Praises Paul's Anthony Joshua Fight

White credited Paul for taking the risky bout against Anthony Joshua earlier this year, saying the former heavyweight champion could have killed him in the ring. "It was a ballsy move getting in there with Anthony Joshua," White said, noting that Joshua broke Paul's face during the fight.

When asked directly about working with Paul, White shut the door. "There's obviously a market for that, but that's not what I do," he said. "I put the best fighters in the world against each other. From the minute that they get into the sport, all the way up to world champion, the best fight the best."

Paul has spent years needling White while building his own boxing career and partnering with the PFL to challenge UFC's dominance in mixed martial arts. White maintains professional respect for Paul but sees no overlap with Zuffa's model of elite competition over novelty.
