Cyborg Adds Holm To Camp For PFL Tampa Fight

Cris Cyborg has enlisted Holly Holm as a training partner ahead of her Aug. 22 clash with Ketlen Vieira at PFL Tampa.

Cyborg will face Vieira in a featherweight bout at Benchmark International Arena in Florida, with Holm now part of the Brazilian's camp. The two fought at UFC 219 in 2017, where Cyborg won by unanimous decision in a competitive five-round battle.

Holm Brings Elite Experience To Cyborg's Camp

Cyborg described Vieira as one of the most dangerous opponents she has faced and said Holm's background at the highest level gives her a crucial edge. "Holly brings a unique perspective and elite-level experience that only someone who has shared the cage with top competition can provide," she said, per Sherdog. "Preparing alongside a fighter of Holly's caliber gives me an added edge as I face one of the toughest tests of my career."

The fight marks the final bout on Cyborg's current PFL contract. She has won nine straight since losing to Amanda Nunes at UFC 232 in 2018.

Vieira posted a 10-5 record in the UFC before her release in May despite winning her most recent outing. The former bantamweight contender now moves to featherweight for her PFL debut against one of the division's all-time greats.
