Conor McGregor reveals no-flash camp ahead of UFC 329 return
Conor McGregor has kept his head down through an unusually quiet training camp as he prepares to end a five-year layoff against Max Holloway at UFC 329 on July 11.
The former two-division champion told The Mac Life that his team adopted a no-frills approach this time around, ditching the promotional theatrics that have defined past fight buildups. "I feel great. I feel absolutely amazing. Stellar," McGregor said, per Sherdog. "The work has been exceptional. No corners cut. You know, no flash. We've been quiet this camp, and we've been at work."
McGregor says silence signals confidence ahead of Holloway rematch
McGregor framed the low-key prep as a sign of assurance rather than caution. "If there's a lack of confidence, you need to share things to get this ego boost," he said. "We don't need it. We'll do it on the night. I'm excited by it. I'm excited by my team and my country."
The bout will take place at welterweight, where McGregor has competed three times before. Holloway, by contrast, has never fought at 170 pounds and will be making his divisional debut when the two meet at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
UFC 329 goes down July 11 with the McGregor-Holloway rematch expected to serve as one of the marquee attractions on the card.
