Conor McGregor and King Green get custom Venum shorts for UFC 329
Conor McGregor and King Green will walk to the cage Saturday in personalized fight shorts designed by Venum, the UFC's official apparel partner announced Monday.
McGregor's shorts for his UFC 329 main event against Max Holloway carry "elements that reflect his personal journey and Irish roots," per the announcement. The design includes a gorilla representing Straight Blast Gym and tiger stripes matching his tattoo. Four Celtic clovers stand for his children, while a Celtic cross signals his faith. Green, white, and orange trim pulls from the Irish flag.
Green's Design Draws From Inland Empire Roots
Green gets paisley-based shorts for his lightweight bout with Terrance McKinney. Venum said the pattern takes cues "from his upbringing in the Inland Empire and from personal influences that reflect his background and experiences."
McGregor trained in separate custom shorts covered entirely with dollar bill prints before switching to the Celtic design. All three pairs retail on Venum's site between $114.99 and $129.99.
UFC 329 takes place Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
