Conor McGregor arrives in Las Vegas ahead of UFC 329 fight
Conor McGregor has arrived in Las Vegas ahead of his UFC 329 main event against Max Holloway on Saturday, according to social media posts from the former champion that appear to put to rest withdrawal rumors circulating online.
MMA Mania reports that fan anxiety spiked after McGregor canceled his original post-fight party at the Encore and failed to appear in the first episode of the UFC's Embedded video series. But the Irishman's most recent posts show him running on Las Vegas streets late at night, identifiable by the wide roads and desert landscaping typical of the Nevada city.
McGregor's afterparty move and Embedded absence spark panic
The party cancellation turned out to be a venue upgrade. McGregor moved his post-fight celebration from the Encore to the Marquee nightclub inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel, per the report. His absence from the initial Embedded episode — which featured Holloway arriving from Hawaii, Paddy Pimblett at a water park, and Bobby Green leaving the strip — prompted YouTube commenters to question whether McGregor had even reached Vegas. One wrote, "No Conor on episode 1 is crazy."
The worry stems from McGregor's previous fight booking collapsing two weeks out, leaving fans on edge about any deviation from standard fight-week protocol. But with four days until the T-Mobile Arena bout, both fighters are reportedly healthy and on track.
Barring a catastrophic incident, the UFC 329 main event will proceed as scheduled Saturday night.
