Cejudo Calls Out Dean After Misfits Win

Henry Cejudo is not done chasing a fight with Nurideen Shabazz.

The former two-division UFC champion earned a split decision over Javon Walton at Misfits Boxing in Miami on Saturday after Shabazz pulled out with an injury. Cejudo told Fred Beck of Fred Talks Fighting that he still wants the matchup and accused Shabazz of ducking him, per MMA Junkie.

Cejudo Demands Shabazz Rebook Fight

Cejudo said Shabazz owes him the fight and suggested the streamer-turned-boxer should stop talking if he is not willing to show up. The original plan called for Cejudo to face Shabazz before the injury forced a late opponent change. Cejudo has stayed active since retiring from MMA, competing in freestyle wrestling under the RAF banner alongside his influencer boxing appearances.

Shabazz lost a unanimous decision to Amado Vargas in late 2025. Whether he will pursue a rescheduled bout with Cejudo remains unclear. Tony Ferguson fought on the same Miami card, stopping Mahmoud Sebie to retain his middleweight title in the influencer promotion.

Cejudo has not announced his next boxing date but continues to call for Shabazz to honor the original booking.
