Cardiff Reportedly Emerges As Leading Venue For Fury-Joshua

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua's long-stalled fight may be nearing a resolution, with Cardiff's Principality Stadium reportedly the new frontrunner to host the bout on December 4 or 11, according to Gareth A. Davies.

The venue would need approval for an extended curfew, an issue that had previously stalled talks over Wembley Stadium. Netflix and backer Turki Alalshikh had pushed for Madison Square Garden, a move the Joshua side resisted given his contract's UK requirement.

Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) is 3-0 in Cardiff, having beaten Carlos Takam and Joseph Parker at Principality Stadium and Dorian Darch earlier in his career. Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) has never fought there but has said he's willing to fight anywhere. Fury's team has told Sky Sports that Wembley, Cardiff and MSG all remain in play, though after repeated false starts in these negotiations, fans are simply hoping for a final answer one way or the other.
