BKB 59 Confirmed For Mexico Debut With Fernandez-Podmore

Bare Knuckle Boxing will stage its first event in Mexico on Sept. 19 when BKB 59 lands at Auditorio Municipal in Tijuana.

Julian Fernandez defends the BKB super cruiserweight world championship against Dan Podmore in the main event, per Sherdog. Fernandez, unbeaten through three fights, faces a former three-division champion in Podmore, who brings a 9-4 record with eight knockouts.

The co-main event sees Tijuana's Cecy Ulloa meet Andy Nguyen for the vacant BKB super flyweight world championship. The card also features Romario Ovalle against Marco Chino Villa at middleweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super middleweight and Pablo Felipe Anguiano against Ricardo Ramses Rueda at cruiserweight.

Additional bouts include Adrian Gonzalez versus Javier Santiago Valverde at lightweight and Jonathan Duran versus Kevin Millan Sanchez at heavyweight. Five undercard fights will stream exclusively on TikTok Live, headlined by Jesus Navarrete against Jose Munoz in the heavyweight division.

BKB 59 marks the promotion's first show south of the border after expanding its footprint across North America in recent years. Fernandez-Podmore goes down Sept. 19 in Tijuana.
