Belal Muhammad attacks Colby Covington at RAF 11 presser

Belal Muhammad charged Colby Covington during the Real American Freestyle 11 post-fight press conference Saturday night in Milwaukee, kicking the three-time UFC welterweight title challenger before security separated them.

The confrontation began after Muhammad dismissed Covington's win over Arman Tsarukyan for the inaugural RAF cruiserweight crossover title. When asked about the match, Muhammad said Covington defeated a lightweight and compared watching it to doing laundry, per MMA Mania. Covington fired back that Muhammad barely beat Ben Askren, who returned to wrestling after a double lung transplant, and then aimed a crude insult at Muhammad's wife.

RAF 12 co-main event announced mid-chaos

RAF co-founder Chad Bronstein announced at the presser that Covington and Muhammad will meet at RAF 12. Covington called the matchup easy money and a free win. Muhammad accused him of running from real competition while Covington responded with repeated personal insults, calling Muhammad a dork and using multiple expletives.

When Covington told Muhammad to be quiet before he smacked him, Muhammad responded with two words. "Step up," he said, according to the report. "Come here."

Muhammad then left his seat, rushed toward Covington and kicked him as Covington stood. Security intervened immediately and escorted both fighters from the room. The RAF 12 co-main event now carries genuine heat heading into the next promotion cycle.
