Amir Khan Names His Comeback Price – ‘I Want £10 Million'
Amir Khan has named his price for a comeback fight, with suggestions that he could fight KSI.
Khan retired from the sport following his defeat by Kell Brook in 2022. Khan was stopped in the sixth round, as the Brit was no longer the same fighter. He retired from the sport with a 34-6-0 record. He is a former two-time world champion, having won belts at 140. Amir faced some of the biggest names in the sport, including Canelo Alvarez, Terence Crawford and Danny Garcia, to name a few. Khan has said he has no plans on making a return unless he is given a big offer.
KSI has been linked with the Khan fight. KSI will fight Dillon Danis in his next fight. This marks his first fight since his loss to Tommy Fury in 2023. KSI had been linked with a fight against Wayne Bridge. But the fight never happened, putting pressure on him to beat Danis since they were linked with a fight in 2023. KSI accused Danis of pulling out because he was not prepared. Danis hit back by claiming that KSI is not a big name, as he ended up fighting Logan Paul.
"I just think KSI’s a nobody, it was a lose-lose for me and beating him was like ‘who cares?’ I don’t know, I didn’t really care about fighting him at all. [And] I think me and the Pauls have had a lot of history and there’s a lot more storyline, me and KSI never had a storyline," Danis said
Khan’s Return
The Logan fight produced a lot of controversy, with Danis making numerous comments about Logan’s partner. He was also disqualified after attempting a choke, which failed. A win over Danis could set up the Khan fight, who has now named his price. The boxer will not return unless he is given a $10 million guarantee. Khan is a massive name, having established himself in the UK and the US. The fight would no doubt sell out. But there are still question marks over what weight class the fight would take place.
"There is nothing out there that they have said to me. They keep mentioning my name and calling me out. I’ve never spoken to KSI or anyone from his team. But they know where I am and know how to get in touch with me. We have mutual friends, and they have spoken to some of my mutual friends and asked about the fight, but nobody has come to me.
"I am my own boss now and have been for the last five years. If they want to negotiate with me, I will speak to them and send it to my lawyer and then negotiations start. I manage everything and know everything in the game. I want £10 million for the fight 100 per cent because a fight like that I am not getting cut short with PPV numbers," Khan said
