Bare knuckle fighter James Springer paid for an illegal kick with a brutal knockout loss at BKB 57 on Saturday night at The O2 in London.

Springer violated the sport's rules during his bout against Amado Vargas, shoving the prospect through the ropes and following with a kick that sent Vargas to the floor, according to MMA Mania. Vargas recovered and returned to action, then dropped Springer with a crushing right hand that left his opponent unconscious.

Vargas Dynasty makes successful bare knuckle debut

Vargas competed alongside his brother Fernando Vargas Jr. in their respective bare knuckle debuts. The sons of two-time light middleweight world champion Fernando Vargas both earned victories on the card. Fernando Jr. stopped Gary Allen in the second round at welterweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super welterweight, while Amado's finish of Springer earned him Performance of the Night honors.

Former BKB heavyweight champion Mick Terrill headlined the London event by stopping Germany's Florian De La Motte in the first round. Reality TV star Aaron Chalmers also secured his second win over Jack Fincham via doctor's stoppage at 1:08 of the opening frame.

BKB 58 has not yet been announced.
