Amado Vargas Returns After First-Round BKB KO
Amado Vargas will return to the Bare Knuckle Boxing Trigon less than four months after his debut knockout.
The undefeated featherweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super featherweight faces Colin Huntington in the co-main event at BKB Biloxi on Oct. 23, Sherdog first reported. Vargas, whose father Fernando held multiple world titles at 154 pounds, stopped his opponent in the opening round at BKB 57 in July to start his bare-knuckle career at 1-0.
What Vargas Said About His BKB Biloxi Fight
Huntington will make his BKB debut against the 1-0 Vargas at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi. "I had a great debut, but I'm not satisfied with just one win," Vargas said, per the report. "I want to keep building my name in BKB and show people what I'm capable of every time I step into the Trigon. I'm coming to Biloxi looking for another big performance, and Colin is going to find out very quickly what this sport is all about."
The main event pits former BKB lightweight champion Jarod Grant against Pantera Guerrero, who replaced Bekhzod Usmonov. heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">Light heavyweight champion Cub Hawkins will drop two weight classes to middleweight for a bout with undefeated Rowdy Montgomery.
Former heavyweight titleholder Ike Villanueva meets Cody East on the card, which begins at 8 p.m. ET.
