Aleksandre Topuria is reportedly negotiating a return to the UFC in November, his first bout in nearly a year.

The 30-year-old bantamweight, brother of former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, is in discussions to face Santiago Luna at UFC Qatar on Nov. 21 in Doha, according to Spanish MMA reporter Álvaro Colmenero. Sherdog also carried the report, citing Colmenero's initial disclosure on social media.

Aleksandre Topuria's UFC Record And Recent Focus

Aleksandre holds a 7-1 professional record and last fought in November 2025, when he outpointed Bekzat Almakhan by unanimous decision for his second UFC win. He has competed sparingly in recent years, spending most of his time coaching Ilia, who lost the lightweight title to Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250 this past June. With Ilia sidelined until 2027, Aleksandre will look to notch a third Octagon victory.

Luna enters the matchup 8-1 overall and 2-1 in the UFC. The Argentine bantamweight is coming off the first loss of his professional career, a submission defeat to Bryce Mitchell in June.

UFC Qatar is also expected to feature a middleweight clash between Ikram Aliskerov and former title challenger Jared Cannonier, though the promotion has not formally announced any bouts for the card. The event marks the organization's return to Doha and is scheduled for Nov. 21.
