Adesanya Faces Magomedov At UFC Saudi Arabia

Israel Adesanya will face Shara Magomedov in the main event of UFC Saudi Arabia on Dec. 5 at ANB Arena in Riyadh, the promotion confirmed during Saturday's UFC Vegas 124 broadcast.

The former two-time middleweight champion is riding a four-fight skid, having last won in April 2023 when he recaptured the title from Alex Pereira at UFC 287. Since then, Adesanya has been stopped by Sean Strickland, Dricus du Plessis, Nassourdine Imavov, and Joe Pyfer, per MMA Fighting. Magomedov carries a 6-1 UFC record with back-to-back wins over Michel Pereira and Marc-Andre Barriault, his only octagon loss coming via lopsided decision to Michael Page at UFC Saudi Arabia in February 2025.

Garry Returns Against Former Bellator Champion

The co-main event will run five rounds as Ian Machado Garry meets Yaroslav Amosov at welterweight. Garry makes his first appearance since dropping a title challenge to Islam Makhachev at UFC 330 in August, while Amosov arrives on a three-fight streak that includes wins over Curtis Millender, Neil Magny, and Joel Alvarez, Sherdog reports.

The main card also features heavyweight Serghei Spivac against Mario Pinto, welterweights Levan Chokheli and Islam Dulatov, lightweights Mairon Santos and Akbar Abdullaev, plus light heavyweights Ion Cutelaba and Magomed Tuchalov.

UFC Saudi Arabia airs Dec. 5 on Paramount Plus.
