Professional Career

 

Sanchez began his professional journey on February 6, 2016, with a knockout victory over Temoatzin Landeros Castillo at the Radisson Hotel in Ontario, California. This debut set the stage for a series of wins, as Sanchez quickly built an impressive record, showcasing his power and skill. Sanchez’s early career was characterized by his knockout prowess. He accumulated a series of stoppage victories, including a first-round KO against Cristian Raudry Bartolini in June 2017 and a second-round KO against Francisco Javier Lapizco in August 2017. These performances established him as a formidable puncher in the bantamweight division.

 

In 2019, Sanchez captured the vacant WBO Latino bantamweight title with a knockout victory over Brandon Leon Benitez. This win solidified his status as a rising contender. However, his career faced setbacks with split decision losses to Edwin Rodriguez in August 2019 and Eros Correa in June 2022. These defeats tested Sanchez’s resilience and determination to bounce back. Despite these setbacks, Sanchez demonstrated his ability to recover and continue his ascent in the boxing world. In December 2021, he secured a third-round knockout victory over Jose Estrella, followed by a spectacular first-round TKO win against JaRico O’Quinn in September 2021. These victories showcased his enduring power and determination.

 

Sanchez’s career highlight came in 2023 when he faced Jason Moloney for the WBO bantamweight title on January 13 at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City, Canada. Although he lost the match by majority decision, the bout was a testament to his skills and competitiveness at the highest level of the sport. Continuing to fight with determination, Sanchez secured wins against Franklin Gonzalez with a sixth-round knockout in June 2023 and a unanimous decision victory over RV Deniega in October 2023.
