Biography

Professional Career

His professional career began in August 2016 with a points win over Jason Jones at York Hall, London. Demonstrating his power early on, Riakporhe quickly made a name for himself with consecutive first-round TKOs against opponents like Aaron Lacy and Istvan Orsos in 2017. These early successes laid the foundation for his ascent in the boxing world.

Riakporhe’s aggressive style and knockout power continued to shine as he moved up the ranks. In March 2018, he secured a third-round TKO against Adam Williams at The O2 Arena in London. By the end of 2018, Riakporhe had claimed the vacant WBA Inter-Continental cruiserweight title with a TKO victory over Sam Hyde in November. This win marked the beginning of his reign in the division, which he defended successfully against Tommy McCarthy in March 2019 and Chris Billam-Smith in July 2019.

The highlight of Riakporhe’s career came in December 2019 when he won the vacant British cruiserweight title with a unanimous decision over Jack Massey at York Hall. This victory solidified his position as a top contender and set the stage for further success. After a brief hiatus, Riakporhe returned to the ring in October 2021, defeating Krzysztof Twardowski by unanimous decision. He followed this with a fifth-round TKO victory over Olanrewaju Durodola in November 2021, winning the vacant WBC Silver cruiserweight title.

Riakporhe’s momentum continued into 2022 and 2023. He scored a knockout victory over Deion Jumah in March 2022 and a second-round TKO against Fabio Turchi in June 2022, both at The SSE Arena Wembley. In January 2023, he defeated former world champion Krzysztof Głowacki with a fourth-round TKO at Manchester Arena, further cementing his reputation as a fearsome puncher. His most recent victory came in November 2023, when he stopped Dylan Bregeon in the second round at The Halls in Wolverhampton.
