He is a former unified world heavyweight champion, having held the World Boxing Association (WBA), International Boxing Federation (IBF), and World Boxing Organization (WBO) titles in 2019 becoming the first heavyweight champion of Mexican descent. He also held the International Boxing Organization (IBO) title during that reign.
