Diaz vs. Masvidal Predictions - 'Beats Him, He's CTE Brain Dead'

Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal box on July 6 in a rematch of their UFC 244 clash.

Their first fight took place in 2019, and Masvidal came out victorious. The victory meant that he became the first BMF Champion. But the fight ended at the end of the third round after Diaz suffered a cut over his eye. The doctors no longer felt it was safe to continue, as Masvidal took the win. Following Masvidal’s recent retirement, he has plans for further fights. He has only had one boxing bout, which was in 2005, beating Joseph Benjamin via a majority decision.

Meanwhile, Diaz lost on his boxing debut against Jake Paul last year. If he wins, Masvidal will target other names, including Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather. Those fights will be tough to make, but Chael Sonnen is another option. Sonnen had an exhibition with Anderson Silva which ended in a draw. He then called out Masvidal, who agreed to the fight if it was a pro bout.

As for Diaz, he has hinted at a UFC return. He was offered the chance to fight Jake Paul for $10 million in MMA under the PFL banner. But the offer was not taken up, leaving fans wondering what he should do next. But before they can consider that, they must come through this fight. Here are predictions over what could happen.

Predictions

“I don’t know. It’s embarrassing. They both suck so, you know, I don’t know. They’re both so unathletic and…It’s embarrassing, I think Masvidal beats him pretty handily. I think he’s more athletic. I think Nate is kind of out of it, he’s CTE brain dead. But yeah, I don’t know,” Dillon Danis

Now in terms of who I think wins this fight, I have already alluded to it, I’ve got Masvidal winning this one. He won the first one. The first one was kind of a beatdown. Yeah, it was stopped with a cut, but the cut came because Masvidal was all over him. He was faster, he was more powerful, and he was more technical, and I do not see much changing,’ Michael Bisping

“Even in the mixed martial arts fight, we kind of had the idea that Masvidal would be the better striker. Nate was the better wrestler, the better grappler, and Masvidal dominated that. So now you’re telling me you’re gonna now limit Nate Diaz to fighting Jorge in the only area that we felt that he held the advantage going into fight one? Yeah, I don’t anticipate it going very well for my boy Nate Diaz,” Daniel Cormier

“I’m going to be in the best shape of my life. I know he’s going to be in the best shape of his life — it’s not like he’s fighting Jake Paul and he’s coming up off the couch. He knows that if he’s not in shape, I’m going to make him look bad and I’ll get him out of there in two rounds,” Masvidal
