Bivol’s Ex-Wife Leaks His Injury History To Beterbiev
Dmitry Bivol is at a significant disadvantage in the Artur Beterbiev fight after his injury problems were leaked to the media.
Bivol’s ex-wife, Ekaterina Bivol, has been very vocal about Bivol after reports that he had engaged in domestic violence against her. They currently share two children, while Bivol’s boxing earnings reportedly exceed $10 million.
But reports indicate that he pays $1,100 a month in child support, which has made Katrina unhappy, as she is seeking more. She has disclosed Bivol’s prior history with injuries, telling Beterbiev’s camp to ensure the latter comes out victorious. Bivol has yet to comment on the claims publicly, which is understandable since his focus is on winning the fight. But Ekaterina made her position clear.

“After all the attacks on me, failure to pay child support for his sons, and complete refusal to communicate with them, I want to tell you everything I know. He has a stress fracture of a vertebra in his back. All his hands have been operated on, not just once, but one elbow, for sure. He has very sore knees, and his left ear is constantly swelling. It has been broken [perforated] many times, and fluid has accumulated in his eye many times. Sometimes, he can’t see well, but the main thing is that he is a coward! We need your victory, Artur [Beterbiev],” Ekaterina said
That could be pivotal in the fight moving forward, especially since it pits two undefeated fighters together. Beterbiev is a knockout artist who has stopped all his opponents to take his record to 20-0. He arrives in the fight after stopping Callum Smith to defend his WBC, WBO and IBF belts.
Bivol was meant to box Beterbiev in June. However, Beterbiev pulled out with a knee injury as Malik Zinad stepped in. Bivol stopped Zinad in the sixth round to take his record to 23-0. He will enter the fight as the WBA Champion, with the winner knowing they become their era’s best light heavyweight.
Who Wins?
The fight is an intriguing match-up between Beterbiev’s knockout power and Bivol’s boxing skills. While Beterbiev has impressive boxing skills, it is ultimately his knockouts which end the fight. He has never been the distance, something which Bivol is a master of. There are also question marks over whether Beterbiev’s body can hold up.
Before fighting Smith, he pulled out with an injury. The same happened for the Bivol fight, which was meant to happen in June. Bivol is a lot younger at 33 years old and in his prime. His biggest win came against Canelo Alvarez. Eddie Hearn has confirmed there could be a rematch with Canelo sometime next year if Bivol gets Beterbiev. The first fight saw Bivol outbox Canelo to retain his WBA belt. However, given that Bivol’s history of injuries has been leaked, that could have played a role in the fight.
