Usyk Trolls McGregor With His Impression
Fans have reacted to Oleksandr Usyk mimicking Conor McGregor’s walking style.
The Ukrainian was in attendance for Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois last weekend. Joshua boxed Dubois for his IBF Heavyweight Title. Dubois caused a massive upset, dropping Joshua four times to the canvas as he stopped the Brit in the fifth round. Usyk was interested in the fight since he could face the winner.
He will rematch Tyson Fury on December 21. Usyk was on hand to give his reaction to the Joshua-Dubois fight after which he came across McGregor. McGregor embraced the Ukrainian. McGregor said that he would want to face Usyk in a bareknuckle fight as both fighters then chuckled at each other. Usyk’s team has suggested that fight too.
“He’s proven he’s the best of his generation and, once he’s retired Tyson Fury, he will consider his options. Maybe that’s dropping down in weight again, or maybe there’s a wildcard option on the table for him.Be it in the boxing ring, the MMA cage or even Conor McGregor’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship,” Sergey Lapin

But once McGregor walked away, Usyk mimicked his walking style. The footage above shows him copying McGregor’s nonchalant walking style after which he laughed at the Irishman’s expense. This is not the first time that Usyk has managed to ruffle the feathers of his fellow fighters. He ignored the mind games from Tyson Fury, who continuously referred to him as a blown-up middleweight. The Gypsy King also referred to the Ukrainian as a rabbit, stating that he would retire if he lost to the Ukrainian.
Usyk defied the odds, winning a split decision to become the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World. During the build-up to the fight, he infamously stated that he would not leave Fury alone. He showed his game plan as he continued to walk down Fury from the opening bell, targeting the midsection and the head. He almost stopped Fury in round nine as the Gypsy King was bouncing off the ropes, only for the referee to intervene by imposing a standing eight count instead.
Usyk And Fury
Usyk demonstrated equally brilliant mind games when he faced off against Tony Bellew. Bellew claimed that Usyk did not possess the one-punch knockout power, which would be his undoing. Just as it so happened, Usyk broke Bellew down before finishing him off with a combination. The Brit could not get off the canvas. Heading into the Fury rematch, Usyk’s team were confident that he would come out victorious, with many in his camp believing that he will make Fury retire.
“Fury will have his opportunity again in December, but this time it will not go the distance. Usyk has studied, scanned, and seen all of his trump cards. Fury has nothing else to play, this will be the last fight of his career. Usyk will retire Tyson Fury,” Lapin added
