Usyk And Fury Stare Down For 10+ Minutes

Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury stared at each other for over ten minutes during their final presser face off.

Usyk arrives in the fight after giving Fury his first defeat when he beat him by a split decision to become the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. Usyk also became a two-weight undisputed champion with that victory, making him one of the best fighters of all time. Fury disputed the scorecards, stating that Usyk won because of Russia’s war with Ukraine. The Gypsy King has, however, accepted that Usyk was the better fighter. Numerous questions remain to be answered in this rematch.

Can Usyk replicate what he had shown in the first fight by outboxing Fury? Meanwhile, will Fury be able to make the adjustments with suggestions that he is going to come in heavier? Fury has promised a knockout. But if he comes up short again, his hopes of securing a trilogy fight will end. Usyk looked confident in the media workout, shadow-boxing to his fans. Fury, in contrast, ended the media workout very quickly, not showing anything to the public. But he offered a few words, saying that he was going to cause a lot of damage. The two fighters were confident ahead of the clash, as this is what they have to say.

Pre-Fight

“Against Fury, it wasn’t me who decided this – it was the heavenly virtues who decided this was the way I would win [decision not KO]. But, if I have an opportunity to knock out Tyson Fury in the rematch, I will take it,” Usyk stated

“[Expect] A lot of pain. Smash and damage. A lot of hurt. Hurt, serious hurt. A lot of damage,” Fury

“It was a little workout. We gave it our best. Tyson Fury is just ready right now, along with myself. He’s always had a silly demeanour and playing around, but this is a different side of him. He’s just ready, 100% ready. It’s how we normally train and how I was taught from Emanuel Steward. It’s always hurt somebody, pain and knockouts. It was always written on the walls at the Kronk Gym. The harder you work, the bigger the reward,” SugarHill Steward

Presser

There was not much said between the fighters before they faced off. But the long face off generated a lot of controversy as they exchanged verbals.
