Thurman And Jarvis Clash At Final Presser – ‘I’m Coming In For The Kill’
The final presser took place for Keith Thurman and Brock Jarvis’ fight on March 12 from Sydney, Australia, as the two fighters shared heated words.
Thurman aims to prove his doubters wrong as he makes his first appearance since 2022. He defeated Mario Barrios in a unanimous decision in his last bout. Barrios later went on to become the WBC Welterweight Champion, while Thurman’s career took a major step backwards. He suffered injuries that hindered his activity, as shown by his pullout from the Tim Tszyu bout last year with a bicep injury.
Jarvis knows this is arguably the biggest bout of his career. Thurman is an ex-Unified Welterweight Champion who only has one loss on his record. Meanwhile, Jarvis bounced back from his loss to ex-IBF Junior Welterweight Champion Liam Paro with KO wins over Marlon Paniamogan and Adrian Rodriguez. Here were the key quotes from the presser.

“At the end of the day, I’ve seen this time and time again. You know, I’m not trying to underestimate him. I’m trying to analyze the opponent that they happen to put in front of me. It’s not my fault that he’s square, that he just comes in, has no head movement, and he just believes that he’s going to drop bombs on the old man and that I’m going to crumble. Wednesday night is going to be a bad night for you, Keith Thurman. That’s what it’s going to be. I’m going to do some serious damage, just like me, baby. I’m going to send you into retirement.

“Well, I’m certainly ready. I was looking at him the other day, and he doesn’t look ready to me at all. Looks like he was involved in a yoga class or something like that. I’m bringing the heat. I’m the one that’s going to bring the heat. [And] I’m coming in for the knockout. I’m not going to miss. I’m going to hit him, and I’m going to hurt him. So, it’s going to be interesting. I don’t know how he’s going to react at his age anymore.
“[And] I certainly do. I think you’ve totally underestimated me. So, you know, I’m coming in for the kill. Look, there I’ve got a lot of boys coming. It’s going to be a great night, the 12th of March. What can I say? You know, it’s going to be exciting, and I’m coming in for an aggressive stoppage.
