Rogan Backs McGregor To Bounce Back, Matt Brown Praises Danis In Promoting The Paul Fight

In the MMA latest updates, Joe Rogan has backed Conor McGregor to bounce back from his loss to Dustin Poirier and his subsequent leg injury.

McGregor’s defeat was accompanied by a broken leg, which has kept the Irishman out of the cage for around two years. Despite McGregor stating that he would make a comeback this year, that appears unlikely.

The MMA fighter has not enrolled into USADA, which is preventing his comeback as the organization requires two negative samples over a six-month period. And yet, Rogan backed the ‘Notorious’ to come back stronger.

Rogan On McGregor

“I just think that if anybody can do it, it’s going to be Conor,” Rogan said. “If anyone is going to come back from that and fight again, it’s going to be Conor. But it’s that famous Marvin Hagler quote: ‘It’s hard to get out of bed and run in the cold when you’re sleeping in silk sheets.’ When you’re the champ and you’re rich as f*ck like he is, he doesn’t have to do nothing forever. He’s got generational wealth, but he’s still in the prime of his athletic career,” Rogan

Nevertheless, MMA fighters have shown previously that it is difficult to come back from broken legs. Former world champions Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman had shown that.

The former lost nine out of his last 10 UFC fights before walking away from the sport. Meanwhile, Weidman was out for around two years after an injury against Uriah Hall only to then lose on his comeback to Brad Tavares and then injure his leg again. And that is something Rogan was wary about.

McGregor’s Chances

“Anderson was a little older. I believe he was 36 or 37 when he snapped his leg. Chris Weidman was a little older. It’s a hard one to come back from. Nobody really comes back from that one. You have to have plates, and also, you’ve got to think the differences – you’re kicking, you’re taking kicks. Guys are going to kick you in that shin for sure. They’re going to kick you in your calf. (You’ll have) nerve damage – all the above. I don’t know the extent of how much damage was done, but it’s been two years,” Rogan

Brown On Danis

In addition, Matt Brown has praised Dillon Danis efforts to promote his upcoming fight with Logan Paul and for subsequently getting him interested in the fight.

A lot of bad blood has emerged in response to the bout that will take place on October 14th, 2023. Danis has been targeting Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, in an attempt to rile up Paul.

This has included Danis sharing numerous posts of Agdal’s relationships to highlight her high body count. That resulted in Agdal filing for a restraining order in an attempt to prevent Davis from posting such things, as well as suing him.

Meanwhile, Paul did make a reference to Danis’ late father as the trash talk threatened to get out of line. But for all the stuff that was being said, Brown did give Danis credit for putting this fight on the map.

“Dillon’s dropping bombs. I wouldn’t expect anything else out of it. If she didn’t put out those f****** videos and s***, he wouldn’t have any material. But when you put yourself out there, that’s what you get. You’ve got to love him for this whole thing. This has been the best internet troll trash talk media hype pump-up, pre-fight s*** that I’ve ever f****** seen. This guy has pulled out all the stops,” Brown

Danis’ Chances

Despite this being the case, Brown has backed Paul to come out on top. After all, Paul does have boxing experience. Meanwhile, Danis will be making his boxing debut.

And so far, MMA fighters who have crossed over into the boxing world have failed to get a win. Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor had shown that. As such, Brown could not see anything but a Paul win.

“I think Dillon might give him a better fight that most people think, but ultimately Logan’s probably going to f*** him up. That’s the beautiful part of the world. This dude talks all that s*** and now you have the chance to go knock the motherf****** out for it,” Brown
