Parham Gheirati demands attention from the rest of the ONE Championship Muay Thai bantamweight division. The Iranian fighter has proven his power, which translates to being among the top fighters in his weight division. Online boxing news shows that Gheirati has the power to wow audiences.

During the second round, Gheirati pulled away from his Australian opponent, Jordan Godtfredsen. Gheirati trapped Godtfredsen against the ropes and threw up a kick that split his guard. Godtfredsen took the kick to the head and immediately tumbled backward to the canvas.

Gheirati didn’t have to wait long for a referee to stop the action. Godtfredsen made it back to his knees but couldn’t bring himself back to his feet. The fight was waived off in the middle part of the second round.

Gheirati has now become a hot prospect for ONE. The organization will want to try to find him a tougher opponent next time out. If the Iranian fighter can continue to display this power, he will be a threat to everyone in the organization.

Wrong Place, Wrong Time

The kick looked effective but didn’t seem extraordinary at first glance. But the power generated by Petmuangsri Wankhongohm MBK’s kick brought a quick end to his flyweight Muay Thai fight with Denphuthai MC Superlek Muaythai. When Petmuangsri’s kick went toward Denphuthai’s body, Denphuthai stuck out his hand to try and block the impact.

However, Denphuthai’s thumb was extended when he put his hand out. Petmuangsri’s kick was so fast that it bent Depnthuhai’s hand back. After he got back into his stance, he motioned to the referee and tried to shake his hand out.

After Denphuthai had someone evaluate his finger, he decided to stop the fight. Petmuangsri grabbed his 58th career victory in a bout that lasted only 1 minute and 19 seconds.

Good Luck Trying to Keep Dieselnoi Down

Dieselnoi Liamthanawat didn’t win his 127-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout with Petmorakot Sitnayoktaweeptaphong Friday night. But he put on an impressive display of perseverance and grit. During the first round, Petmorakot scored two impressive knockdowns.

Both came courtesy of a left cross and right hook combination that Dieselnoi didn’t see coming. But after that opening frame, both teams had to dig in for the fight. Dieselnoi started leaning on the clinch to land strikes.

However, Dieselnoi’s increased output could not compensate for his opponent’s power. Petmorakot would ultimately pick up his 41st career win by unanimous decision.

Lamsing Grabs Unanimous Decision Win

Lamsing Sor Dechapan learned something about himself. During a 126-pound catchweight fight, Lamsing had to prove that he could handle the pressure from a desperate opponent. Lamsing was comfortably ahead after the first two rounds.

But during a 126-pound catchweight fight, Lamsing had to feel the wrath of his opponent Dabdam Por Tor Tor Thongtawee. Dabdam was excellent at putting the pressure on in the third round. The MMA latest updates show that Lamsing leaned on his defense to stay on his feet. By not being bothered by the acts of a desperate fighter, Lamsing was able to pick up a decision win.

Leg Kicks Rule the Day

Regarding combat sports, the best MMA news sites show that any discipline that allows kicking has seen a major surge in fighters utilizing leg kicks to slow their opponents. Limiting mobility makes it easier for fighters to string together other combinations.

Got Taipetburi never stopped attacking Robocop Radgoldgym’s legs during their 120-pound catchweight Muay Thai fight. Robocop prefers to move forward and pressure his opponent. Any forward pressure by Robocop was punished by Got.

Got continued to fight with a heavy pace throughout the fight. But it was the leg kicks that helped set up his offense. While Robocop did enough with his volume and power to sway a judge in his favor, Got was able to pick up a split-decision win.

Petninmungkorn Debuts With Impressive Win

Fighters in lower-weight classes typically don’t have as much show-stopping power as their counterparts in larger-weight divisions do. However, anyone who does demonstrate it in the lower weight divisions can carve out a nice career for themselves.

Petninmungkorn Captainkaneboxing will want to continue what he started during this event. During his atomweight Muay Thai fight with Akkaradet Guaybangkorlaem, Petninmungkorn shows that he can force his opponents down to the canvas.

Petninmungkorn scored his first knockdown with a heavy right hand. While Akkaradet was able to get back to his feet, he may have wished he hadn’t. Petninmungkorn connected on another overhand right that put his opponent down for good just 97 seconds into the fight.

Teeyai Grabs Win in Quick Fashion

Teeyai PK Saenchai knows he isn’t paid by the hour. He quickly got out of his 120-pound catchweight Muay Thai fight with Shuto Sato. Neither fighter was interested in seeing what the judges thought about their fighting abilities.

Both men decided to trade heavy punches from the pocket. Teeyai found the strike that sent Sato to another planet. After the punch landed, Sato initially looked like he was going to get back into the fight after nearly going to a knee. However, when Sato attempted to step backward, he stumbled to the canvas and fell over onto his back.

The referee had no choice but to stop the fight. It was a wild, delayed reaction to the heavy punch.

Here’s a look at the other fights on the card not mentioned above:

  • Muay Thai (141-pound catchweight), Johan Estupinan win by knockout over Kouta Omori, Round 1 :27
  • Muay Thai Catchweight (134-pound catchweight), Noppadet Chor Hapayek win by split decision over Nawaaek Sor Sommai
