Yu Yau Pui Faces McManamon At ONE Fight Night 48

Yu Yau Pui meets Marie McManamon in an atomweight Muay Thai clash at ONE Fight Night 48 on October 2, with both veterans hunting the kind of result that puts them back in title conversation. The card airs live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium, per BJ Penn.

Yu, 33, started training at 18 to stay fit and took her first official fight four years later. She debuted on ONE Friday Fights in 2023 and rattled off five straight wins to earn a six-figure contract before stopping former ISKA and WBC champion Lara Fernandez in her main roster debut the following year. The streak cooled after that high point. She holds just one win in her last four outings, most recently dropping a competitive kickboxing decision to former K-1 champion Kana Morimoto this past August. Yu now returns to Muay Thai with a 29-5 professional record.

McManamon Trains With Haggerty Brothers Ahead Of Bangkok Return

McManamon, 36, trains out of London's Knowlesy Academy alongside reigning ONE bantamweight kickboxing champion Jonathan Haggerty and strawweight prospect Freddie Haggerty, both of whom have their own ONE assignments this fall. One of the United Kingdom's top Muay Thai strikers, she dominated the domestic scene before making her ONE debut earlier this year against Allycia Hellen Rodrigues for the atomweight Muay Thai world title. That fight ended in a fourth-round TKO loss. She dropped a unanimous decision to two-time WBC champion Selina Flores months later, leaving her in search of the win that reestablishes her as a genuine threat in the division.

Yu is five months removed from a knockout finish that retired former standout Anna Jaroonsak. McManamon is looking to bounce back from consecutive losses against top-tier opposition. ONE Fight Night 48 airs October 2.
