Warren Delays Itauma-Dubois Fight

Frank Warren isn't rushing a fight between fellow Queensberry heavyweights Moses Itauma and Daniel Dubois, targeting late 2027 or early 2028 for a stadium-sized event even if both remain unbeaten or hold titles in the meantime.

"It won't be made straight away. I would make that in a few fights' time, providing they both come through. When it does take place, it has to go on in the summer in a football stadium. End of 2027, early 2028? Yeah, that's the objective," Warren

The holdup is commercial rather than competitive. Warren wants time to grow Itauma's drawing power and further establish Dubois as WBO champion, allowing Queensberry to run both as separate headliners on DAZN before combining their fanbases for one large-scale event. Pitting them against each other now would remove a top-of-the-bill fighter while the matchup still fits an arena rather than a stadium — waiting lets Queensberry build multiple title fights around each before eventually bringing them together.
