Van And Tsarukyan Reveal Custom Shorts Before UFC 331

Flyweight champion Joshua Van and top lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan have both received custom fight shorts ahead of UFC 331 this Saturday at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Van, who defends his title for the second time against former champion Alexandre Pantoja in the main event, incorporated the colors of Myanmar's flag into his design, along with patterns inspired by traditional fabrics and the Myanmar hornbill. The champion also included two Bible verses: Romans 8:31 and Joshua 1:9. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous," reads Joshua 1:9 on the shorts, per MMA Mania.

Tsarukyan's Design Features Russian Bear And Mount Ararat

Tsarukyan, who faces Mauricio Ruffy in the co-main event, went with a black-and-gray color scheme meant to reflect what MMA Mania described as "darker and more intimidating elements associated with his persona." The design features Mount Ararat and a Russian bear as nods to his heritage.

Both fighters join an elite group with custom fight kits, including Jon Jones, Ilia Topuria, Max Holloway, Merab Dvalishvili, Alexander Volkanovski, and Alex Pereira. Van earned his custom shorts after just one successful title defense.
