Walker On Why Hokit Avoids Calling Him Out

Valter Walker believes Josh Hokit left him off a recent list of callouts for strategic reasons.

Hokit, who has drawn attention with his "Incredible Hok" persona and verbal shots at Alex Pereira, Tom Aspinall and Ilia Topuria, never mentioned Walker by name. The Brazilian submission specialist thinks that's no accident — he would expose Hokit's act the moment they shared a microphone.

Walker Says He Could Dismantle Hokit's Character

Walker posted on X that Hokit avoided him because he knows he couldn't survive a face-to-face exchange. "Because he wouldn't be able to stand listening to me at a press conference or anywhere else, cause that character would go straight to hell when I start," Walker wrote, per Sherdog. "U are real cute, taco boy."

Hokit carries a 10-0 record into his UFC heavyweight title shot against Ciryl Gane at UFC 334 on Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden. He has finished three of four UFC opponents. Walker holds a 16-1 mark and has strung together five straight submission wins — all by leg-based attacks — since losing his promotional debut in 2024.

The two heavyweights have yet to cross paths inside the octagon, but Walker's post suggests he's angling for that matchup should Hokit survive Gane in November.
