UFC Vegas 119 weigh-in results: Kevin Borjas misses by 3 pounds
Flyweight Kevin Borjas missed weight by three pounds ahead of UFC Vegas 119, the only stumble on Friday's official weigh-ins at the UFC Apex.
Borjas, scheduled to face Andre Lima on Saturday's preliminary card, stepped to the scale at 129 pounds — three over the non-title flyweight limit. According to MMA Fighting, the bout will proceed at a catchweight with Borjas surrendering 20 percent of his purse. Lima accepted the revised terms.
Kape and Horiguchi on weight for flyweight main event
Main event fighters Manel Kape and Kyoji Horiguchi both made weight without issue. Horiguchi hit the championship mark at 125 pounds, while Kape used the one-pound allowance for a non-title fight and registered at 126. The two last met at a RIZIN event in December 2017, where Horiguchi stopped Kape with a third-round arm-triangle choke. A UFC flyweight title shot could hinge on Saturday's rematch.
The other 23 fighters on the card all successfully made weight. Co-main event light heavyweights Ion Cutelaba and Navajo Stirling both weighed in under 206 pounds, while featherweight Hyder Amil and Christian Rodriguez headline the Paramount Plus main card.
UFC Vegas 119 streams Saturday with prelims starting at 5 p.m. ET and the main card at 8 p.m. ET, both on Paramount Plus.
