UFC Releases Michael Page After UFC Paris Win

Michael 'Venom' Page has been removed from the UFC roster following his unanimous decision victory over Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris last Saturday.

According to an email sent from UFC executives to media rankings panelists and shared by MMA journalist John Morgan, Page was dropped from rankings eligibility immediately after the event. The 39-year-old welterweight had not re-signed with the promotion before the bout, fighting out his existing contract at UFC Paris. Per BJPenn.com, Page admitted in the days leading up to the fight that his UFC future was uncertain.

Page's Recent UFC Run and Sluggish Performances

Page went 5-1 inside the Octagon since joining the UFC in 2024 after years as a Bellator contender. He rebounded from a loss to Ian Machado Garry at UFC 303 with four consecutive wins, including three at middleweight. While he delivered standout performances against Jared Cannonier and Kevin Holland, some of his recent showings left fans wanting more.

"Dear Panelists, Michael Page has been removed from rankings eligibility, effective immediately," the UFC email stated. Neither Page nor his management has publicly addressed his contractual status as of this writing.

Before signing with the UFC, Page competed against top Bellator names including Douglas Lima, Evangelista 'Cyborg' Santos, and Paul Daley. He knocked out Goiti Yamauchi in the first round of his final Bellator appearance before entering free agency following a split-decision loss to Logan Storley at Bellator 281.
