UFC 329 poster drops with McGregor-Holloway welterweight rematch

The UFC has released the official poster for UFC 329, featuring Conor McGregor's return against Max Holloway in a welterweight bout July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

McGregor has not appeared on a UFC poster since June 2024, when a training injury scrapped his scheduled comeback fight with Michael Chandler at UFC 303, according to MMA Fighting. The former featherweight and lightweight champion broke his leg in a July 2021 trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and spent the years since recovering, dealing with legal matters, and pursuing business interests outside the cage.

Holloway lost a decision to McGregor in their first meeting more than a decade ago. He enters the rematch off a ground-heavy loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 326, where he surrendered the "BMF" title. The Hawaiian will move up to welterweight for a chance at revenge against the sport's biggest draw during International Fight Week.

The updated card features Benoit Saint Denis against Paddy Pimblett in the co-main event, with bantamweight contenders Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista also set to clash. Former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker faces Nikita Krylov on a card that includes former bantamweight titleholder Cody Garbrandt taking on Adrian Yanez.

UFC 329 marks McGregor's first scheduled appearance in nearly three years. Weigh-ins are set for July 10.
