Tyson Fury urges Tommy to quit Misfits boxing after latest win
Tyson Fury believes his brother Tommy has nothing left to prove in influencer boxing and should return to the professional ranks.
Speaking to iFL TV after watching Tommy win on the latest Misfits card, the former heavyweight champion dismissed the two-minute round format and said his younger brother belongs in legitimate fights. "He got the win, it is what it is," Fury told the outlet, per Bad Left Hook. "I think this Misfits stuff is like — six, two-minute rounds is ridiculous. Tommy can do 10, 12 three-minute rounds."
Fury says Tommy beat the best Misfits had to offer
Tyson noted that Tommy already defeated the two biggest names on the circuit in Jake Paul and KSI, leaving no worthwhile opposition. "He's beat the two best ones there were," he said. "Whatever is leftover now, he ain't gaining anything from it." He added that Tommy should either commit to professional boxing or accept that the influencer circuit will define his career. "To me, this is f*cking — it is what it is, sh*t," he said.
Tyson also confirmed his own focus remains on major heavyweight bouts, specifically naming Anthony Joshua and a potential rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. He predicted a knockout of Joshua, calling him "chinnier than a Chinese phonebook" and saying the former champion is finished.
No word yet on whether Tommy will heed his brother's advice or continue taking fights on the Misfits platform.
