Tsarukyan Open To Volkanovski Fight

Arman Tsarukyan is prepared to take on featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski for the lightweight belt should Justin Gaethje retire.

Tsarukyan stopped Mauricio Ruffy in round one in September, and now he’s waiting for his next booking. The UFC has told him to expect news soon, but he believes Gaethje is dodging him.

“Someone is trying to duck me; it’s Justin Gaethje. Now he’s talking about retirement. Either UFC is going to pay him so much money that he’s going to fight, or he’s just going to retire,” Tsarukyan

Volkanovski, fresh off beating Movsar Evloev on October 24, has said he’d move up to face Gaethje in a retirement fight for both champions. Tsarukyan sees the 38-year-old as a favorable stylistic matchup.
