Tsarukyan Attacks Danis Over Chimaev Shirt At RAF 14
UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan attacked Dillon Danis on stage at Thursday's Real American Freestyle 14 press conference after Danis showed up wearing a shirt that mocked Tsarukyan's teammate Khamzat Chimaev.
Tsarukyan, who beat Mauricio Ruffy at UFC 331 earlier this year and awaits his next contract offer from the promotion, has been staying sharp on the wrestling mats between fights. He faces Danis at RAF 14 this weekend in a bout that remains scheduled despite the brawl, per BJPenn.com.
Chimaev Shirt Sparks Chaos At RAF 14 Presser
The incident erupted when Danis arrived wearing apparel that targeted Chimaev, the former UFC middleweight champion who also competes for Real American Freestyle. Tsarukyan rushed across the stage and both fighters exchanged blows before security intervened. Chimaev himself got involved in the melee ahead of his scheduled match against UFC Hall of Famer Robbie Lawler.
Neither Tsarukyan nor Danis suffered serious injury in the scuffle, according to the report. The two did not complete a formal faceoff after the incident and neither has issued a public statement.
Danis has been banned from attending UFC events after multiple brawls and was supposed to fight Mike Perry at Duel Arena 1 earlier this year before pulling out with an injury. Tsarukyan is widely expected to challenge Justin Gaethje for the UFC lightweight title in 2027 following his win over Ruffy.
