Tommy Fury vs Eddie Hall press conference set for June 11

Tommy Fury and former World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall will hold their final press conference today at noon ET ahead of Saturday's Misfits Boxing headliner at AO Arena in Manchester, England.

The event, billed as "Beauty vs. The Beast," streams on DAZN and marks another chapter in Hall's improbable boxing career. The strongman told Ariel Helwani that the fight materialized after a verbal exchange with Fury's father. "Tommy's dad and I had a few untoward words, and I basically said, 'Look, I'll slap any of you all over the place,'" Hall said, per MMA Mania. "Before I knew it, I had a contract to fight Tommy."

Hall's path from John Fury feud to Tommy Fury bout

Hall initially sought a bout with heavyweight champion Tyson Fury after seeing the lineal champ train MMA, but John Fury rebuffed the overtures. The situation escalated from there. Hall suggested the eldest Fury "snapped" under pressure and is now sending his youngest son to defend the family name.

Anthony Taylor and Matt Floyd, who compete for the Misfits light heavyweight title in the co-main event, are also expected at today's presser. First bell for Saturday's card has not been announced.
